Lunch with Impact
Each Sunday, after worship, we share a meal together. Lunch is a great time to connect, build relationships, and share stories while enjoying good food.
Jesus ministered to people around the dinner table, and we find that following his example gives us opportunities to connect with each other and to form relationships in spite of whatever differences we may have. Most weeks, lunches are put together by a committed crew of church members, who give their time and expertise to craft delicious and nourishing meals for the whole community.
Our lunches are a perfect way for others in our city to participate with us, serve our community, and make new friends.
Visiting groups bless our church in so many ways. By providing food, they help defray costs and give our kitchen crew a break. And they keep us connected with our larger community, and often help us create new opportunities for ministry. But we have found that groups who serve at Impact walk away with blessings of their own. Our invitation is that groups that cook and serve also eat with us, and we’ve seen new friendships form among people with very different life circumstances.
We believe that through the practices of hospitality and sharing, God dissolves barriers and shows us that we are truly brothers and sisters in his Kingdom.
